We offer real ostrich eggs from our family farm in Idaho, USA. These eggs are blown out, sterilized, and have an 11/16" hole drilled on one end. Ostrich eggshells have been used for various craft projects and as a canvas for art forms such as painting, carving, and dying. They also make unique pieces of home decor. Each ostrich egg is unique, like a snowflake, and is categorized by size and appearance.
Perfect for crafts and DIY projects, the only limit is your imagination with ostrich eggshells. They can be painted, dyed, etched, and used for decoupage. We also offer an eggshell stand for displaying your work.
Every eggshell was laid on our family farm in Idaho, where we operate the largest ostrich farm in America. We are committed to sustainability and humane animal husbandry.
Our premium eggshells are handled with care, each carefully drilled, blown out, cleaned, fully sterilized, and stored to ensure the finest quality. Each shell is hand-inspected for quality prior to shipment and packaged in eco-friendly materials to ensure they arrive in pristine condition.
Ostrich eggshells vary in size, categorized as Large, Extra Large, and Jumbo based on circumference and length.
The finish of each eggshell is unique, depending on the hen's genetics, physiology, and diet. Natural sheen describes a smooth, almost iridescent finish, while matte shells are white in color and feel chalky. Scarred eggs have ridges in their surface, and "imperfect" shells have irregularities such as discoloration, an off-center drill hole, epoxy patch, or pencil marking.
